PPO Zero-Halogen Hook-up Wire

Belden Wire and Cable has developed PPO Hook-up Wire as an environmentally-friendly alternative to PVC- and XLPE-insulated hook-up wire. The wire's construction is of stranded tinned copper conductors and Zero Halogen Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) insulation. PPO meets or exceeds the electrical and thermal characteristics of traditionally used PVC and XLPE, in addition to being smaller in diameter, lighter, and stronger. It is more flexible and durable, with ten times better abrasion and pinch resistance than PVC. PPO is also fully recyclable. Some of the applications of Belden's PPO Hook-up Wire include electrical panels, building construction, maintenance operations, manufacturing of electrical and electronic products, as well as production and assembly applications. Gauge sizes range from 28 to 10 AWG and put-ups are 100 feet, 1000 feet, and 5000 feet. PPO Hook-up Wire is part of Belden's GreenChoice solutions.
